Thursday 12 November at Dux Live sees Maersk, Zannin, LXTZ, Soul Provider & Alby going head to head to be crowned THE DECKNOLOGY 2015 CHAMPION OF THE UNIVERSE.

PROFILE: LXTZ

How long have you been DJing for? What made you want to start DJing?
Got influenced through Daft Punk’s Discovery, Justice’s Cross and the Prodigy’s experience. Then I saw a video of Laidback Luke when I was 17 and thought he was the man. Bought a midi controller three years ago and graduated onto CDJ’s with the help of White Elephant and Seb Frances. Rest is history.

How would you describe your sets/the music you play?
A bridge between the past, present and future of House music. It starts off at house, but ends up on an entirely different tangent. Mr Brightside pops up around some point during the night.

What’s your weapons of choice (gear)?
Either 4x Pioneer 2000 Nexus or 2x Pioneer PLX-1000. Pioneer HD-C70. Pioneer, DJM 900, XDJ Aero e.t.c. (Sponsor me Pioneer, I’ll do you proud)

What can we expect from you on the night?
You’ll never know what to expect. That’s the beauty of it. If I gave it away it wouldn’t be a surprise anymore.

What sets you apart from the other competitors?
Originality, passion and converting tricks to CDJs. I don’t skip legs day.

Who’s set are you most looking forward to seeing? Why?
Soul provider: He read the memo on how to do competition sets. I know Ché, Alistair and James are entertaining from experience. So expecting 110% from everyone.

What gigs/projects do you have in the near future?
Rhythm and Alps and a couple of local residencies. Looking forward to putting out new original tracks this month after decknology (one with my boy Blueprint).
