Te Wiki o Te Reo Māori with Reo Māori Mai

Reo Māori Mai is about making te reo Māori fun, safe and interesting to learn. From small businesses to large organisations, whānau, and individuals, Reo Māori Mai is for all to engage with.

Te Wiki o Te Reo Māori, Māori Language Week, ran from the 13th to 19th of Mahuru 2021. Breakfast host Ben O’Connell joins the founder of Reo Māori Mai Ariana Stevens to korero about Ariana’s work, modern Māori contexts, Te Wiki o Te Reo Māori itself, uplifting the voices of rangitahi Māori, and the future of Reo Māori Mai respectively. These five podcasts only scratch the surface of Ariana’s work, however. Listen in down below:

Ariana makes learning Māori fun, relevant and engaging. Her passion is to share her love of te reo with everyone who wishes to learn. Ngai Tahu by descent, Ariana comes from Te Waka o Aoraki (South Island). Through integrating tikanga, she brings Māori culture and language alive.
