Join the team at RDU98.5FM, the professional independent leader in music, opinion, and culture for Ōtautahi, Christchurch. We are a volunteer-based organization with a strong legacy of supporting local creatives and a deep reach into the music community. No other radio station can match our commitment to building, supporting, and developing the national and local music scene.

We’re seeking a skilled communicator with a proven ability to pitch, negotiate, and secure sponsorship and advertising for our business. The ideal candidate is a self-managed professional with integrity, passion, and a love for all things music. You’ll join a small but passionate team where you’ll have the opportunity to make a real difference.

To excel in this role, you’ll need:

  • Experience in a service industry providing quality customer service
  • Credible advertising and sales industry experience
  • Proven ability to set and reach monthly targets
  • Strong relationship-building skills with both internal and external contacts
  • Strong administrative background, including budget management skills
  • Proficiency in Excel and Word
  • A mature, self-directed outlook and the ability to work independently
  • Experience managing sensitive and confidential information
  • A full driver’s license
