VIDEO PREMIERE: Othersun – “Fox”

We are stoked to be doing the video premiere for Christchurch musician Othersun’s new video for Fox. Filmed & directed by Sebastian Beyrer, the gorgeous video takes us on a journey through hills and abandoned churches, setting the emotional tone for this lush track.
The track was written a few years ago, but Josh Holmes (the man behind Othersun) didn’t find it suitable for any of the other bands he was in at the time.
Holmes says the video “…was partially shot in my house and an old abandoned mansion that’s had many different uses and owners in its time. We had to get permission to shoot there as it was quite dangerous in parts and earthquake damaged. You would occasionally take a step and your foot would end up going through the floor. There are still beds and stuff in there that look like people just woke up one day and left everything as it was. Even old unwashed pans in the kitchen. It’s very haunting and dark, which is what the inside of my head was like at the time I wrote the song, so quite fitting really.”
