Vinyl Record Cutting at Canterbury Museum

James Meharry from In Real Life Vinyl Mastering will record a special RDU selections direct to disc in a unique performance. Cutting for RDU, each session will see a double A-side 7″ selected by the Music Director, mastered and cut to vinyl live in a special custom studio built for the vinyl lathe.
James will provide some insight into the dark art of producing music on vinyl and will be joined by a representative of premium New Zealand brand Plinius Audio to dispel myths and clarify the process. A special addition to this exciting schedule of events.
