Bain Attwood, a Professor & author, has just released the book, A Bloody Difficult Subject. The book covers the life of Historian Ruth Ross, a little-known but hugely influential historian, who dedicated much of her life to reframing how we view Te Tiriti o Waitangi. The book is an in-depth look at how she formed her opinions and the influence of her work. Bain had a chat on Breakfast about the book, Ruth Ross, and what motivated him to write it.
