Te Tokotoru is a Māori supergroup made up of celebrated singer and songwriter Arahi, bassist William Devine (Fane Flaws, Tropical Downbeat Orchestra), and Iraia Whakamoe (The Nudge, Fly My Pretties).
They’ve recently released a banging track, Ka Whiua Ngā Ringa.
Arahi dialled into RDU’s Burnt Breakfast to talk about the origins of the group, their new song, and what it’s like to work together.
