Every now and then, an absolute gem of an album appears when you’re least expecting it. For me, this latest gem is #5, by local ƌtautahi musician Thomas Isbister.

Taken from his 2020 EP ‘Recovery Pt.1’, ‘Cautionary Tale’ is a laid-back track from singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Arjuna Oakes.

Taking out the top spot on the latest Te Ahi Top 10 is ƌtautahi musician Thomas Isbister with his song ‘Eggs’. The track is a groovy slice of indie rock featuring a range of electric live instrumentation. ‘Eggs’ appears on Isbister’s recent album #5, which is his fifth full-length project released since 2019.

Tāmaki Makaurau based PollyHill continues her rapid rise with the brooding new single ‘Chilly’.

Taking out the top spot on this week’s Te Ahi Top 10 is Christchurch local Producer and DJ Ebb, with his song ‘Alloy’.
