Kubo and Lee | Te Ahi Top 10

The Te Ahi Top 10 winner for March 18th and 25th was Kubo and Lee with their track ‘Old Skool’

Kubo and Lee are NZs breakthrough underground music collaboration. With a focus on the “bass heavy” sound set up and backgrounds that stretch over 20 years in the CHCH music scene.

One part “Yuhei Kubo” the control room of the operation, with solid foundations in the CHCH house music scene – Kubo has carved out his way as a top-flight Dj and producer.

“Nathan Lee” comes from an extensive role in the drum and bass scene, as a go too international supporting live MC. His passion for bass music and hip hop, in particular, is second only to Lee’s energy and charisma live on the set.

Teamed up in the studio is where they have both come together to form a unique sound for your listening pleasure.

Their first EP Old Skool is now available via all the usual platforms.
