Connan Mockasin is a psychedelic pop musician from Te Awanga. He released three albums with his three piece Connan and the Mockasins, named after his penchant for making his own shoes, with Blake Pryor on bass and Christopher Calmers on drums, before joining outfit BARB alongside Liam Finn, James Milne, Eliza Jane Barnes, Seamus Ebbs, Jol Mulholland and Wild Bill Rickets. He then persued his solo career releasing three critically acclaimed albums, Please Turn Me Into the Snat, Forever Dolphin Love, and Caramel. Connan’s unique voice and unconventional compositions give his material and instantly recognisable tone that makes him stand out amongst his contemporaries. After having spent over 10 years living between Wellington, London, East Sussex and Manchester, and now resides in Los Angeles, California.
