SATURDAY 22nd NOVEMBER 2014 || Cowles Stadium, Christchurch || Dead End Derby Rollergirls
An all southern showdown will be taking place this Saturday night at Cowles Stadium for Dead End Derby’s final home bout of 2014.
This is the final home game for Dead End Derby’s Team New Zealand representative, Evil’K’Neevil (Kay Newton), who will be a representative Team New Zealand player in her second Roller Derby World Cup – this time being held in Dallas, Texas from Thursday December 4th, where 28 nations will be taking part to see who is World Champion in the Second ever Roller Derby World Cup.
Both of Dead End Derby’s home teams will be playing in this double night of roller derby. Dead End Derby’s All Stars who are ranked #3 in New Zealand and #1 in the South Island will be skating against Dunedin Derby’s Gallow Lasses who are ranked #2 in the South as the feature bout of the night from 6:30pm. The last time these two teams played it came down to the last few jams to decide the winner.
Opening the night will be both teams other travelling teams; The Living Dead Rollers (DED) and Bonnie Brawlers (DD) who will start the evening off at 5pm with a one hour full-length bout.
Doors will open at 4.30pm with food vendors onsite as well as a licenced bar and merchandise for sale.
