Groeni – Truce
Beginning as a solo project, Wellington electronica act Groeni have evolved into a fully formed three-piece band. The trio – made up of James Paul, Alexander Green and Mike Isaacs, released their latest EP Hinde in October 2015, which is their first offering of compositions written as a three-piece, and across its four tracks explores a dancier side of the Groeni sound. Through hard work and perseverance they have managed to translate their intricate studio sound onto the stage in a meaningful and engaging way. You won’t see laptops at a Groeni gig, it’s all hardware instruments and music that has elements of dance, ambience, improvisation, and does not fail to impress audiences. They plan on releasing a full length album in the near future.
